As part of NCJI’s 29th annual Forum for State Appellate Court Judges, “Juries, Voir Dire, Batson, and Beyond: Achieving Fairness in Civil Jury Trials,” Two law professor members of our faculty authored original academic research papers exploring in depth the topics pertaining to achieving fairness in civil jury trials. These papers, and the authors’ presentations of them, served as the centerpiece for the Forum discussions.
